Certification

This is the first restaurant in Japan to receive an internationally recognized “Muslim Friendly Certification”
Since it first opened in 2017, THE GRAND GINZA has continued to spread Japanese culture through the medium of food. Additionally, we have strived to provide meals that everyone can enjoy by using gluten free ingredients, being vegetarian friendly and catering to any allergies that our guests may have.

With the increasing numbers of customers from overseas, we applied for and received a “Muslim Friendly Certification” in order to ensure that our Muslim guests can also enjoy a special time in the dazzling district of Ginza.

This certification assures that the food products and services we provid adhere to the Islamic law. There are many Halal certification agencies throughout the world, but it is said that the Malaysian Governmental Agency JAKIM (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia) has the strictest inspections among them and is one of the most trusted processes.

THE GRAND GINZA is the first restaurant in Japan that received a “MPJA Muslim Friendly Certification” from MPJA (Muslim Professional Japan Association), a Halal certification agency that has been recognized by JAKIM (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia). Guests can use our service without worry as our chef has received lectures directly from the 5-star hotel Bangi Golf Resort in Malaysia about how to manage and handle the food.

Our Service

CUISINE

At our venue, we can provide Halal food even if only a select number of guests require it. From Malay to Japanese we can also provide a wide range of cuisines while still complying with Halal standards.

1. A party where all guests require Halal food

　→ Provide a completely Muslim-Friendly buffet menu

2. A party where part of the guests requires Halal food

→ Provide the standard buffet menu + Muslim-Friendly buffet menu

*Halal food can be provided starting from 1 guest. (Currently, we only take Halal requests for buffet style meals.)

STAFF

As part of the Halal service we not only comply with particular Halal standards in regards to the ingredients we use, cooking methods, and dishes used to serve the food but we also have staff members who understand Halal standards supporting you from the planning stage all the way up until the end of your party.

Japanese Tea Ceremony Experience

Content: Lecture about the basics of traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, live demonstration in a traditional Tea Room, tea tasting (either weak or strong tea) etc.

Yukata Party

Content: Experience how to properly wear a yukata, enjoy a cocktail party or the Japanese Tea Ceremony Experience waring a yukata
